It’s been more than a week since that horrible incident happened and a precious gem of our bollywood industry is no more between us. I am not able to think anything else except this only. It feels like a personal loss.
All the social media platforms have been filled with posts like, why didn’t he talked to his friends, family or anyone and shared his feelings? But think about it, what do you think he didn’t reached out to anyone? He must have did, many times. Only if one was not so busy in ignoring or calling him a psychotic, then they might have noticed.
I know that people are filling social media with things like talk to us, count on us. But do they really mean it? No. People are so fake, even if someone did try to talk to these same people, they ignore and avoid. They tell them that it’s nothing big and everyone faces them. This behaviour not only hurts them but also increases their problems or suffering. Why people treat someone so badly that they have to end their lives?
Everyone does face problems in their life but some people are stronger and handle them bravely. People should understand how someone is suffering and trying to reach out, but if you just keep on making comments about their problems rather than understanding them or will suppress them, do you even have any idea what will happen? Those thoughts and suffering would become so intense, that the person will want to end their life. Even a small loss or event can trigger that. So, it’s my humble request to everyone that, please stop pretending that you care. Mean it first. Posting on social media, won’t make you a real person. True friend is that who can help a person during their tough times, not someone who is only there during happiness.
Everyone should realise that calling someone a loser because he/she is anxious or in trouble, would not help, but make the problem worse.
It’s high time, we recognise the significance of mental health and start giving it more time and stay healthy and happy.
Sushant Singh Rajput, you left us too early. You were so talented and a down to earth person. You will always be missed. We have loved you and will always love you.
